"Follow me, and I will set the world ablaze."

Ferrum Anima is a pocket(able) roguelike adventure and virtual companion being developed for the M5StickC Plus 2.

Inspired by iconic games and franchises like DigimonPokémon GO, and Darkest Dungeon, it combines real world exploration with virtual training and battle. All packed into one tiny, persistent world.

Head out on real-world walks with your knight. Defeat monsters, uncover treasure, delve into dungeons and earn training points to improve their strength, speed, and defense.

"The soul fades. The name lingers."

- tombstone of the forgotten king

As your knight grows, they will evolve into new forms — shaped by the battles they've faced and the path you've walked together.

And even when they fall, they may rise again. Just not as you've expected them to.

Key features

  • Activity tracker - Every step earns purpose. Real-world walks grant Training Points — spend them to hone your knight’s Strength, Speed, or Defense. What you do out here shapes who they become in there.
  • Inventory and loot management- Your knight’s armor is made of steel, but they still bleed. Manage food and supplies to keep them alive and alert. Equip scavenged relics and cursed gear to gain the edge in battle — or risk corruption
  • Duels, Player vs Player - Let steel clash with steel. Engage in deadly PvP battles via Bluetooth — one soul leaves stronger, the other... forgotten.
  • Titles and Reputation - Your legacy matters. Earn titles and ranks through glory, grit, and sheer survival. Let the world remember your knight’s name — and what it took to keep it.
